Bains Fireplaces Warranty Policy

Warranty applies to customers in England and Wales

1. Introduction

At Bains Fireplaces, we take pride in the quality of our products and workmanship. This warranty provides additional protection for our customers and applies alongside your statutory rights under UK consumer law.

This warranty applies to products manufactured by MB Manufacturing trading as Bains Fireplaces.

2. Manufactured Fireplace Surround Warranty

All bespoke fireplace surrounds manufactured by MB Manufacturing, including micro marble and limestone surrounds, are covered by a 2-year manufacturer's warranty from the date of supply.

This warranty covers:

Defects in materials supplied by MB Manufacturing.

Defects arising from manufacturing processes.

Structural failure caused by faulty workmanship.

Products not manufactured in accordance with the agreed customer specification.

3. Material Characteristics

Limestone

Limestone is a natural material and each surround is unique. Natural variations may occur in:

Colour and shade;

Veining;

Fossil markings;

Texture;

Surface characteristics.

These natural features are not considered defects and are excluded from warranty claims.

Micro Marble

Micro marble is an engineered marble product manufactured under controlled conditions. It provides a consistent appearance and finish; however, minor variations may occur due to production batches, lighting conditions and manufacturing tolerances.

Such minor variations are not considered defects.

4. Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not cover:

Damage caused by incorrect installation by others.

Accidental damage, impact damage or misuse.

Damage caused by building movement or unsuitable supporting structures.

Damage caused by incorrect cleaning products or abrasive materials.

Damage caused by excessive heat outside normal intended use.

Alterations, modifications or repairs carried out by persons not authorised by Bains Fireplaces.

Normal wear and tear.

5. Appliance Warranty

Electric fires, gas fires, media wall fires and other appliances supplied by Bains Fireplaces are covered by the individual manufacturer's warranty applicable to that product.

Warranty periods vary by manufacturer and product type.

Bains Fireplaces will assist customers with warranty enquiries where appropriate.

6. Installation Warranty

Where installation is carried out by Bains Fireplaces, installation workmanship is covered for 2 years from the date of completion.

This covers defects directly resulting from our installation workmanship.

It does not cover issues caused by:

Existing electrical, gas or structural problems.

Work carried out by other contractors.

Customer alteration after completion.

7. Making a Warranty Claim

Proof of purchase.

Photographs of the issue.

We reserve the right to inspect the product before determining the appropriate remedy.

8. Warranty Remedy

Where a valid warranty claim is accepted, Bains Fireplaces may:

Repair the affected area.

Replace defective components.

Rectify manufacturing defects.

Offer another appropriate remedy.

This warranty does not provide an automatic right to replacement where repair or correction is practical.

9. Statutory Rights

This warranty is provided in addition to your statutory rights under UK consumer law.
