These Terms and Conditions apply to purchases made through our website, by telephone, or through our showrooms. Bains Fireplaces specialises in the supply of electric fires, gas fires, media wall fires, fireplaces, and bespoke marble and limestone fireplace surrounds.

By placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

2. Product Information

We take care to ensure that product descriptions, images, measurements and specifications are accurate. However, natural materials such as marble and limestone may vary in colour, texture and pattern. These variations are a natural characteristic of genuine stone and are not considered defects.

All measurements should be checked carefully before ordering. Where required, customers should seek professional advice regarding installation requirements.

3. Bespoke Marble and Limestone Fireplaces

Our marble and limestone surrounds are individually manufactured to the customer's chosen specification, measurements and design requirements.

Because bespoke products are made specifically for each customer:

Full payment is required before manufacture begins.

Production will not commence until payment has been received and all design details and measurements have been confirmed.

Once manufacture has started, bespoke orders cannot be cancelled, amended or returned unless the product is faulty or does not meet the agreed specification.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that measurements and specifications provided to us are correct.

4. Ordering and Payment

When you place an order, you are making an offer to purchase the goods described.

Payment must be made in full unless alternative payment terms have been agreed in writing.

We accept payment through approved payment providers shown on our website. Payments are processed securely through third-party payment services.

An order confirmation will be sent once your order has been accepted.

5. Delivery

Delivery times provided are estimates and may vary depending on product availability, manufacturing requirements and delivery location.

Customers must ensure:

the installation area is prepared,

electrical and gas supplies (where applicable) meet required standards,

access is available on the agreed installation date.

Additional work required due to unsuitable conditions may incur additional charges.

7. Cancellation and Returns

For standard stocked products purchased online, customers may have cancellation rights under UK consumer legislation.

However, bespoke and made-to-measure products are exempt from standard cancellation rights once manufacture has commenced, provided they have been made to the customer's specification.

Faulty goods or goods that do not match the agreed specification remain covered by your statutory rights.

8. Faults and Damages

Customers should inspect goods upon delivery and notify us promptly of any damage or issue.

We will investigate reported faults and, where appropriate, arrange repair, replacement or another suitable remedy.
