A fireplace that fits your room
Before choosing a surround, think about the complete wall: the opening, hearth, skirting and the furniture around it. A favourite design needs to work at the right scale as well as in the right finish.
Start with the dimensions
Bring the width of the available wall and any existing opening or hearth, along with clear photographs. Measurements help the team discuss options; they do not replace a professional assessment where one is needed.
Compare materials in person
Look at marble and limestone finishes alongside your flooring or paint samples. Ask which dimensions can be tailored and what the written quotation includes.
Keep the whole fireplace in view
Confirm whether your choice includes the surround, hearth, back panel and fire. A display photograph may show a complete arrangement rather than every item included in one price.
